Founded in 2002 ARCORAIS aims at creating a diversified but uncompromising Liveset which involves the listener. So “Thrashmetalcore” characterizes the band’s style in a very unique manner. The “Münstersche Zeitung” articles “ARCORAIS do not only play metal but prize-winning Metalcore”.The founders Michael (Lead-Guitar), Torben (Rhythm-Guitar), Fabian (Drums), Freddi (Vocals) and Scholle (Bass) had already been friends before the foundation. Fabian, Torben and Michael had been playing in a band together before but hadn’t found what they were seeking for. When they decided to found a new band a bassplayer and a singer were needed. Scholle joined the band soon but the search for a suitable singer was more difficult than they all thought about. After a long searching period Fabian met Freddi at a local concert and they agreed upon a rehearsal. Innitially it pointed out that the right singer had been found – the band was complete. At the beginning of 2004 the EP “Feel my hate” was released and the band played numerous gigs in the immediate environs of their hometown. In 2005 the band had to break up with Scholle because the musical interests differed too much. But the search for a qualified replacement didn’t last as long as supposed - Markus, who was known to the band as a talented session-musician, was qualified enough, even more - he was the hoped-for refreshment of the ARCORAIS sound. In the same year the band took part in one of the world’s largest newcomerfestivals “Emergenza” and achieved the german-finals of NRW and Niedersachsen. At this festival the band played at locations like Matrix Bochum and Live Station Dortmund in front of more than 1000 people. ARCORAIS ranked 21 out of 800 bands! With help of all of their concerts the band succeeded to build up a trans-regional fanbase which is still increasing with every gig played..... Since the beginning of the year the 5 musicians are in writing mode for new songs to fill their next album for a release later this year .
