SWIFT SILENT DEADLY – brachial, kompromisslos, energisch, verspielt, chaotisch -Aus diesen Elementen kreieren SSD seit Ende 2007 ihren selbst ernannten „Chaoscore“. Anfangs als Hardcore-Projekt gegründet, wurde Jan ( Vox), Fab ( Vox), Björn ( Git), Matt ( Bass) und David (Drums) sofort klar, dass jeder unterschiedliche Einflüsse in die Band mitbringt. So entstand eine völlig eigenständige Mischung aus heftigen Hardcore-Parts, schnellen Blastbeats, wilden Breakdowns und chaotischen Moshern. Besonders hervorheben muss man hierbei den progressiven Ansatz der Band – schließlich reicht es nicht einfach aus, unterschiedliche Genre miteinander zu verbinden. Dabei schrecken SWIFT SILENT DEADLY auch nicht vor unkonventionellen Taktarten oder Elementen des Post-Rock zurück:Eine wirbelnde Verquickung von Krach und Unbehagen. Persönliches Versagen und gesellschaftlicher Zerfall bilden die thematische Seite der Songs, deren Texte in kompromissloser Weise von den beiden Sängern der Band herausgebrüllt werden.Diese Vielfalt überträgt sich bei jedem Konzert auf die Bühne.Dabei machen sich nicht nur Wut und Energie, sondern auch Präzision und Spielfreude der Band bemerkbar.SWIFT SILENT DEADLY konnten dies bereits bei ihrer ersten Show 2008 als Support für War From A Harlots Mouth und Time Has Come unter Beweis stellen. Den Rest des Jahres spielte man zahlreiche Konzerte in der Umgebung des Ruhrgebiets. Anfang 2009 konnte man mit Hilfe von Bloodstain und SullenEyesSore auch Berlin und die umliegenden Orte unsicher machen.
Swift.Silent.Deadly is a five-piece band formed in 2007. The initial idea was to perform straight forward old-school hardcore, but – due to the variety of influences – the plan eventually shifted to create a unique chaotic mixture of guitar-based brutality.The sound created by Swift.Silent.Deadly now covers a variety of styles, including anything from blast- to d-beat, groove, breakdown-parts, odd time signatures, subliminal melodies and a wide range of different vocals, all boiled down into an appalling yet appealing dose of noise and disharmony. The musical diversity is accompanied by thoughtful but uncompromising lyrical themes reflecting both social and individual degeneration. Past announcements labelling them as Metal, Hardcore or Grind only point out how difficult they are to categorize.Right from the start, Swift.Silent.Deadly put heavy emphasis on unleashing madness in front of live audiences. The goal is to deliver an energetic show that combines accuracy and intensity, fury and enthusiasm. A set of two vocalists is able to create a vivid impression that will instantly ignite the pit while the forceful sound will keep it moshing.The on-stage devotion started supporting War From A Harlots Mouth and Time Has Come in 2008, followed by gigs in various locations within western Germany. In January 2009 chaos was spread on a three-day trip to Berlin and nearby towns accompanied by Bloodstain and SullenEyesSore. Never being able to just settle down with their past achievements, Swift.Silent.Deadly are always looking for shows – and thus new opportunities to infuriate the masses!
