About Me

Smokescreen

Yes, its true top Scottish band SMOKESCREEN are back together again! The music scene has missed the kings of funk rock. Remember what the critics said about them? Jim Gellatly of BEAT106 described Downtown Lane as one of the best tracks hed ever featured in his radio show. Soulful vocalist Mick Drain is even more powerful - as Eddie Reader says, f**k, he can sing! And check out lead guitarist Jaz Brannan; his playing is slicker and smoother. Wet Wet Wets Tommy Cunningham describes Chrissy Carlin as one of Scotlands best new drummers while high-energy bass player Rory McGregor fits the band perfectly. The last time they toured, SMOKESCREEN packed King Tuts to bursting point in a crazy night that hundreds of people will never forget. Now SMOKESCREEN are on the road again and will be putting good-time funk and fun back into a gig near you.Watch this space!
