Of persian roots and settled down in Rotterdam, Netherlands, Nick Spent most time of his youth on the sport fields. unlike most dj's and producers today proclaim, Nick didn't have any musical background except occasionally buying early uk breakbeat/rave vinyls, and listening and dancing to 80's cheesy popmusic!
it was only in early/mid 90's when the House fever finally got to him. sneaking in the clubs at the age of 16 and filling himself with the music that was beyond any description. This helped his musical talent to awaken enormously in no time and in fact, the love of this sound, drove him to drop out of early stages of a professional soccer career to pursue his new passion: MUSIC!
Nick Started his DJ-ing career back @ some small local clubs in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Playing Chicago and Detroit influenced house music, got noticed pretty quick as he became the resident @ the Danssalon, a trendy Rotterdam club at that time.
After having a 2 year residency here, Nick became a resident at club Nighttown. First playing @ Future... fridaynights and then the legendary saturdaynights of club Nighttown, which was voted the best clubnight in the Netherlands for 2 years in a row, during his residency.
Since that time Nick has played at numerous clubs in the Netherlands and all over the globe as well as all leading festivals in the Netherlands, along side some of the biggest names in the industry such as: Josh Wink, Laurent Garnier, Deep dish, Sander kleinenberg, Danny howells, Derrick May, Stacy Pullen, Darren Emmerson, Mr.C, 16B.
Nicks dj sets have a unique hypnotic sound full with excitement, best described as an adrenaline soaked trip to peak and back, through the house-territory. A sound that can not be categorized and definitely crosses boundaries. A sound which brings the most prominent house music elements together as his soulful, yet driving blend will take off.
Tech, tribal, funk, deep, acid, dubby house-music that will result in most unexpected sets.
As a producer, Nick-k has been collaberating with names such as Ferry corsten and Sharam jey in the past and had releases on the legendary now defunct uk Labels Hoojchoons and Airtight as well as Deep dish imprints Yoshitoshi/Shinichi among others.
With his infectious sound, he slightly presented a different style which just took a short time to get noticed by top players ranging from Deep Dish and Steve Lawler to Carl Cox and Josh Wink.
Nick has teamed up with Matthew dekay to set up Lowriders, folowing to their groundbreaking labeled imprint (lowriders recordings) which proved to be one of the freshest sounding labels in the industry, with supports from almost all top players.
In 2006 Nick started working closely with Armada music on an own imprint called "Gangsta Audio". expect some twisted house monsters from Nick and other talented producers from across the globe in the future.
