What do you say about yourself?

Me - I always say that the mirror lies about the age inside me. Yes my body may be -more than 29, but to me inside I am much much younger than 29. You make your life what it is - I am lucky to say that (mostly) my life is bloody good.

Great wife Karen who I love loads, fantastic daughters Lorraine and Joanne who I am oh so proud of and now have 3 gorgeous grand children - what could be better.

I enjoy the work I do and am lucky to have a succesful carreer behind me which means that I could do the type of work I want to do for a living not the type of work I HAVE to do to earn a crust.

Yep analysing my life closely says I have a pretty good life and wouldn't change it for anything. (Well every man has his price so maybe I would! ;o) )

My Interests

Interests? Hmm, loads really but none obsessively.

Love lots of different music and like going to see live gigs, especially my friend Marc Atkinson - whose web site I look after www.marcatkinson.co.uk please check it out

I like photography, play golf - badly and not enough - like football and support my home town team York City and like to travel - especially to the States - I have been there nine times and hope to go many more times.

I also enjoy writing - I don't do enough of it these days but when the creative juices flow I suddenly get the urge to put my thoughts on paper.And of course my family are important it's great being a grandad!I also like to make little films using my pics and then putting them on you tube - you can link to some of them on here and this one below is an example

I'd like to meet:

Always wanted to meet Paul McCartney (I suppose because the Beatles were my first musical influences when I was young)But never really phased by people being famous because they are on TV so not ever felt the massive wish to meet them.I would like to meet up with some of my ancestors to find out about them how they ticked - what life was like for them and what they thought about this strange world we now live in - yeah that would be quite cool having a conversation with my great great great grandad.

Music:

I love lots of different music from Rock to Opera.
Mainstream love stuff like U2 and Train, but really love the music of my pal Marc Atkinson - it is brilliant to hear him develop a self penned song from him playing it accoustically on a demo cd or live in a pub to hearing a finished full band version with his band Gabriel.

Movies:

A bit of an oldies freak when it comes to movies I love some of the classic old films and maybe my favourite film of all time actually describes me and what I have. It's that classic James Stuart movie - "It's a Wonderful Life" - sad am I not?I really like adventure films and travel films and films with people like Steve Martin which make me laugh.

Television:

Love crime programmes like Law and Order and also like the new Dr Who series. But I probably don't watch as much tv as I used to. Like watching old vidoes of to escape - stuff like James Bond or adventure fims. I love to watch travel documentaries especially when they feature out of the way places!

Books:

Sadly I read much less than I used to - but when I do read I like to read travel books as well as crime novels and sometimes educate myself by reading reference books on a wide range of subjects - but I wish I read more, the bloody internet has killed reading for me!

Life Changes oh so quickly -

It has been a strange 10 days or so - at the beginning of last week I was soaking up the sun in the Mediteranean exploring the wonderful islands of Malta Gozo and Comino, and now a few days later here...
