I write crime novels. I've published seven novels as Sam Reaves and three as Dominic Martell .
My Reaves books are Chicago-based crime stories (George Pelecanos called my Homicide 69 "the big Chicago crime novel we've been waiting for") and my Martell books are European-based espionage/intrigue (Lionel Davidson said my Lying Crying Dying was "the Thriller Nouveau... one of the very best of the late nineties").
My new Sam Reaves novel, Mean Town Blues, is in stores now.
