Divadelick, presently a duo powered by Sativa Diva and Kendra Foster, is a female-dominant force of rhyme, r&b, and every other genre they can throw in the mix. This team addresses all subject matter; street, community, philosophy, spirituality, emotions, education, world issues--the good, the bad, the ugly, and elevation. Starting with the regions they come from (Sativa the north, Kendra from the south, and Jew' EL from the midwest), they cover a vast cultural ground, offering a more universal feel and always a soulful delivery.Like it's backing band, Children of Production, Divadelick was born out of countless late night recording sessions simulated in hotel rooms while its members were touring the world with Parliament/Funkadelic. Also like their brothers C.O.P., Divadelick are musical revolutionaries dedicated to producing quality music--whether profound or commercial-- that relates to all mankind (in some way or another), attempting to increasingly make a difference even if as small as the listener's mood.The name "Divadelick", originally coined by the likes of Tracy "Traylewd" Lewis and other earlier genius-fantabuli Funkadelics, began as the term for the divine female-power-part of P-Funk All-Stars. This power was born of and the proper respect must be given to Debbie Wright, Jeanette Washington, Lynn Mabry, Dawn Silva, Jeannette McGruder, Sheila Horne, Malia Franklin, Shirley , Babbs, Janet, Belita Woods and more beautiful, amazing women that blessed the mothership with their energy before the reinforcers and expounders of the definition, Sativa and Kendra graced the steps...Divadelick is empowerment. Divadelick is strength and growth in the female experience (without negating the power of manhood or the audience that it's gender yields--so fellas, you just gain a little perspective and insight by listening, you won't get bashed... all the time (hee, hee)
