*********************************************************** **I also have an on going musical partnership with a cat named Paul Johnson and we've done quite a few projects under the names of Passion, Howard,Johnson and Friends and Metropolis. I also freelance when I have the free time. **I started playing bass at the age of seventeen while growing up in Washington, D.C. with a band called the Camaros (www.theCamarosBand.com) and ain't put it down yet. **After four or so years with the Camaros. I decided it was time for a change and hooked up with an old friend, Don Bowen, who was forming a new group with a concentration on original music and a recording contract. The group was called Jonathan. The group Jonathan originally consisted of Jonathan F. on guitar. vocals and keyboard, Patsy Noel on vocals, my brother Joe Howard on drums and vocals, Don Bowen on vocals, guitar and harmonica and yours truly on da bass and vocals. Later Judy Daly was added on vocals and keyboard. We were a rock-pop group that did a lot of originals along with covers of some of the popular tunes of the day. We played most of the military bases in D.C., Maryland and Virginia, a lot of the clubs as house band in the Metrpolitan D.C. area, and quite a few private affairs as well. We also recorded some of the originals which I hope to get up here at some point. **I stayed in Jonathan for a couple of years then left and did some fill in jobs and wound up playing for a cat named Stan Holland. After a while I decided to work on putting together my own group which consisted of several former members of my first band, the Camaros, and guitarist Quincy Mattison. This went pretty good but our lead singers regular job caused us not to be able to play as much as wanted to, so the band came apart and soon after I moved to Charlottesvile, Virginia where I still reside. *********************************************************** *****In the fall of '06 I met a couple of cats who play latin jazz/salsa type stuff. I had been looking for someone in my area for over ten years to no avail. Pablo J. Davis is the pianist, and is dynamite with years of experience and knowledge. Tomás Serrano is the conga player/percussionist, and is equally as talented and I am the bassist.
