Hard Rockin' Blues for the Soul

About Me

Recently the bluesy rockband of the much acclaimed singer Florence Kraayvanger released Kharma Baby in their hometown Arnhem, The Netherlands. After a few singles and the mini album Check! (2003) Kharma Baby is the first and long-awaited full studio album of the renowned Dutch band.

Superfloor worked hard at the songs and recordings of Kharma baby. The band that describes their own music as Hard Rockin' Blues for the Soul recorded eleven originals. Kharma Baby was produced by blues nestor from the Lowlands; Mike Donkers, guitarist/lead vocalist for The Mellotones.
As always the sound of Superfloor is dominated by the powerful and soulful voice of front woman Florence Kraayvanger. But also by the heavy grooving, seventies rooted bluesy rock of Frank van der Wiel (guitar), Rob van den Broek (bass) and Thomas Calis (drums).
Dutch Radio- and Blues-legend Gerry Jungen -who has been a Superfloor fan since years- and known for his radio shows such as Umma Gumma at 3FM and Bluesbox at Arrow Classic Rock, compares the band with legendary acts such as Led Zeppelin, black Crowes and Cry Of Love.
"superfloor is one of the best Dutch bands in their field. Finally they have an album to prove it" Gerry Jungen at www.superfloor.net, march 2008
"...And let's be honest; her soulful strut is -without any doubt- the highest trump of this highly inflammable quartet. High time for a reprise at Arrow Classic Rock." Oor Magazine, april 2008
