I FUCKING HATE RAP/HIP-HOP/R&B/HOUSE/TRANCE MUSIC SO STOP ADDING ME IF THAT'S YOUR BAG, I'M SO NOT INTERESTED. I'M ALSO SICK OF ALL THESE R&B/HOUSE/TRANCE CLUBS THAT KEEP ADDING ME AND KATHEMATICS, AS IF WE WOULD EVER GO TO A CLUB THAT PLAYS HORRIBLE MUSIC LIKE THAT! PISS OFF AND GO PIMP SOMEONE ELSE.
I'm the singer/songwriter/guitarist of Melbourne band Kathematics (check us out in my Top Friends.) I have also launched a solo career (check out Kath Matic solo in my Top Friends too.) I am always looking for bands I like to help out and have done stuff like hook up Melb shows for an Adelaide band, so check out my music taste and if it's similar to your band's, chances are I can give you a hand (as long as your band aren't egotistical monsters)
I also run a myspace called Rock Out With Your Frock Out with Dren.(Check it out in my Top Friends) It's a networking site for rock chick musos so add us if you are a rock chick muso, or fan of the genre. (Guys are welcome to be friends too!)
I went back to study from 2003-2005 and have two Diplomas, one in Professional Writing and Editing (I'm "slowly" writing a novel called 'Georgie') and the other is in Music Business Management.
I also own a drumkit (I started off as a drummer) and am keen to play drums in a band so if you like my music taste and need a drummer, let me know! In fact I also own a bass and am able to play it quite well so I'm willing to play anything and everything in another band that I dig.
I love animals and have the best dog in the world, Saffy, (check out her myspace in my Top Friends too!) I also have a step-dog called Bear and now a stray cat called Brunnie (I found her on Brunswick Rd, hence the name, on Australia Day, January 26th 2006, she was my birthday pressie as my birthday's two days before) I like to hang out with them and my partner and watch DVDs, or go to the flicks and of course I love seeing bands! I also like to collect vintage Snoopy stuff.
Another quality I possess is I am sarcastic in the best possible way. There are many people that don't get me. That's their problem.
I absolutely HATE people who are sweet-as to your face and backstab behind your back (or via email cos they're too gutless to say it to your face.) I have been surrounded by these poor excuses for human beings lately, and I have had enough.
I absolutely LOVE the way music brings people together. There is nothing like it in the known Universe. It is a gift.
I've had the privilage of sharing the stage with many of my fave artists during my musical career: Sleater Kinney, The Spazzys, Mach Pelican, Killing Heidi, Kisschasy, Clare Bowditch, Deborah Conway and Vika and Linda were the highlights so far. I also recently met two of my heroes, Suzi Quatro and Brian Canham from Pseudo Echo. Very cool.
My motto is - "Look fondly at the past, plan for the future, but don't forget to enjoy today"
I also like - "Life has thrown me so many lemons I'm drowning in lemonade" I made that up, don't steal it!
Recently, I have started living by this- "Make an effort for me and I'll make an effort for you BUT If I keep making an effort for you and you make no effort for me you can FUCK OFF!!!"
