What can be said about 'The Ombudsman'? Written by Kath Matic as a joke during the tirade of Work Choices ads on TV, the song was played amongst friends who promptly fell into fits of laughter. Soon after, the song debuted at the Tote where Kath asked the crowd whether they thought it was thumbs up or down (whilst secretly hoping it would be thumbs down) but alas at the end of the song the crowd was unanimous in voting 'The Ombudsman' thumbs up.
It was then that Kath realised she unfortunately had no choice but to record the stupidest song she had ever written and put it on myspace, resulting in Charles Jenkins calling it "A bloody great song."
'The Ombudsman' holds The Guinness Book of Records world record for the most 'F' words in one song, the grand total being eighteen. Kath has truly outdone herself this time.
