Pablo Eskimo originally started when a pop-tastic guitarist, a heavy metal drummer and a crazed-rock-star-wannabe chick happened to cross each others paths one sunny day in the almost South Side of Glasgow (we say almost, it was at Carlton Studios). Since then, through their love of harmonious chaos, wild parties and music, they have become a force to be reckoned with.
Pablo Eskimo can bring a fire and energy to the stage that few other bands can match. Having gigged extensively in Glasgow they have built a loyal fanbase which has increased with a successful Scottish tour this year. With a string of gigs in each of Scotland's major cities, they left a lot of smiling faces and firm, and slightly crazy, new fans. Having been invited back to play each of the venues, they now have plans for a much larger tour during 2007…if only they could stop twitching.
They blend the best of funk, rock and punk to create a style that is wholly their own. Having had radio play from such music stalwarts as Jim Gellatly (XFM), Vic Galloway (Radio 1) and various podcasts around the world, as well as two of their most popular tracks featured as the backing tracks to various short indie films.
Under the care of JB Management and with a brand new drummer by the name of JOHNBOY in tow, great things are sure to happen for this dedicated band.
'it was like going from relaxing in a bath to some bugger dropping in a toaster; completely electrifying! This energetic three piece play the sort of music which guarantees the audience takes notice.' S. Richardson - Live Music Direct
'With tracks ranging from the cool and funky 'Bunnyboiler' to the pure rock sound of 'Lines', this is a band that has a lot to offer. As someone commented to his mate behind me, it's like leaning out of a motor getting chased by the police! Now you can't get more Rock'n'Roll than that!' Pete Jones - RCT Music
