"Adventure" could have been my middle name
(but my parents preferred "Mark").
Allow me to introduce myself.
I'm just this old guy who makes a bit of music that's (hopefully) a little bit different, as a hobby for his own fun. I'm not interested in spamming or misleading anyone into listening to it. If you've found it and like it, that's great. Let me know. I'd appreciate the feedback. But don't expect to see me pushing it by hijacking someone else's page. And likewise, I won't allow anyone else to mis-use my page.
Okay, now that that's out of the way...;
Hi,
I was born Sunday, 7th february 1960, near London, England. Ahhh, I remember it well.
I write music, of a kind. I tend to leave the live performances to the 'youngins' these days though as they have more "N.R.G."
My earliest memory is hearing The Beatles "She Loves You" on the radio in my parents' kitchen.
I started showing an interest in playing guitar in 1973. Then, in 1975, I was at a gig in a small hotel in Berkshire U.K. ("Skindles") where, along with 100 others, I watched some 'kid' my age, still wearing his school uniform, blow the place apart with a wine red Gibson S.G. I'd been exposed to AC/DC and my interest in music really took off. To this day I still believe I was the first person to smack Angus's bum as he went 'walkabout' amongst the audience on Bon's shoulders.
Started listening to other rock bands; Van Halen, Foreigner, Bad Company, Queen, Slade. Then began playing keyboards and toured with a couple of small bands in the 80's. Didn't we all? Wrote, contributed to, and performed mostly our own material, with the odd cover thrown in here and there for good measure.
On May 6th 2005 I found myself in my local hospital's Accident and Emergency Ward after a bike accident in which I managed to break one finger, dislocate two others, and various other things (I popped the dislocated fingers back in myself while I was waiting for the ambulance to arrive). The broken finger turned out to be more serious than everyone thought and I've had to quit playing guitar. I still have a beautiful, flame-top LesPaul Standard by my side as a sort of 'comfort blanket' (anyone who owns one will know what I mean). Now I'm learning how to programme music through computers instead; The surgeon who put my hand back together told me I would find a way to adapt, so that's what I'm doing.
So a big thank you to her, and my lovely physio-therapist, Raylene, who a) helped put 'Humpty' together again and b) has the world's first 'healing-smile'.

Who would I like to meet?
Everyone in my 'Top Friends' list. Especially Tom Hanks / Julia Sawalha / and (if you look like Minnie Driver) YOU! Also many of my other MySpace 'friends'. Except 'Tom' - I heard he hogs the biscuit tin! If language and life were not barriers, add in my friends and relatives who have passed, and; Peter Ustinov; Leonardo DaVinci; Victor Borge; and 'Satchmo'.
I love my life and I'm happy with pretty much everything, and everyone, in it. I do 'tweak' bits every now and then though, just in case it gets too 'samey'. I like doing new things. I have amazing family and friends who support, and encourage, me. I hope I do the same for them.
