Borthwicks Acoustic

After moving through to Glasgow and having to limit the electric guitar due to noise complaints from upstairs, i bought a nice cheap acoustic and started trying to write some songs. This attempted lasting all of a week, it was followed by months of drunken shambolic attempts at opening mic-ing around hear and there. Influenced by a Whiskey called "Scots Poet"!!!!!It wasnt until December 2005 that Me and MAgs after having jammed and effectively learnt the guitar together for years, started to pile up a nice back catalogue of tracks on the acoustics with the ambition of always playing then in a full band enviroment and in stadiums the world over. Something we are still doing, CHECK OUT BORTHWICKS MOTHER SITE, IN OUR TOP FRIENDS.Regardless though we have still continued to play acoustic gigs and the odd open mic whenever we can in both Glasgow and Edinburgh. Our first acoustic gig in O'Neills bar on socks and ball street in Glasgow, our last being at Edinburghs T on the Fringe.During and since this time i have tried to pursue my own gigs in Glasgow to remove the strain of studying Scottish History, which although has its delights, is rewarded by playing in the Nation you learn so much about. Anyways i am rambling.Basically this site is a collection of acoustic tracks by Me and Mags or any other contributors to the cause from over the last the last few years, these include, John Windsor.Anyways have a great summer and watch out for the acoustic cd Hopefully coming out in early June.Dave
