Arguably one of Ontario Canada’s most sought after, up and coming Hip Hop artists; Absent Minded has proven time and time again, that he is rightfully earning his spot within Canada’s Independent Music scene.
Nominated for a 2007 Toronto Independent Music Award and listed on many of !earshot magazine’s Top 10 Hip Hop Charts, Absent Minded’s 2006 debut album, “Master Plan”, has garnered the attention of Hip Hop aficionado’s and industry types from around the globe. Hungry and ready for more, Abs. is preparing to unveil his sophomore release, “Stage Presence” (Summer 2008); a rich line-up of hard hitting, self-produced Hip Hop that will undoubtedly propel this hard working producer/mc to the next level.
An accomplished performer and self-proclaimed “crowd mover”, Absent Minded has shared the stage with such artists as Method Man, Obie Trice, Cage, Kardinal Offishall, Bedouin Soundclash, Ill Scarlett, Lloyd Banks and Classified. From Montreal (Quebec) to Kelowna (British Columbia), Abs. has rocked the most outstanding of crowds with his unforgettable, high-energy, live performances.
Currently residing in Toronto, Abs. is running his Independent Record Label, LOD Development. Artists include 2007 Scribble Jam Beatbox Champion Poizunus (www.poizunus.com) and 2007 Scribble Jam MC Battle Competitor Q. With a new album in the works, tonnes of production on the table, strong work ethic and 6 artists in development, Absent Minded is definitely not showing any signs of slowing down anytime soon.
