About Me

Jo Stevens the band are fresh from finishng the haunting single "Take Me Home" produced by French Star Benjamin Biolay www.myspace.com/benjaminbiolay ( The enormously talented Benjamin is releasing his 5th studio album with Virgin Sept 07) Jo's Celtic upbringing brings a gorgeous lilt to the songs along with Jon Miles' genius guitar playing and Phil Whitehouse's heavenly bass (he really was meant to end up in Paul Weller's band!!) & Gavin Thomas on drums. "Take Me Home" is released as a single in Ireland in November 07 and the band will be doing a promo tour in Ireland which they are hugely looking forward to. The band are proud to have had the song used as part of the "Forgotten Irish" campaign for charity - The Ireland Funds (www.irlfunds.org).The band formed upon Jo's return from studying saxophone at the Lyon Conservatoire in France with a common love of The Beatles, The Police, The Who, Paul Weller and of course Jon's Radiohead! Jo previously released an album as a singer songwriter produced by award winning producer Steve Levine & was featured artist on Benjamin Biolay's "Bain de Sang" on his album "Negatif". Jo Stevens are now based near London . They are in the studio putting their finishing touches to their 2nd album. It's all original stuff that they sweat over with a passion-getting compared to Blondie and Snow Patrol- and most recently the Clash...? Passions? .....- the music- obviously- .....the music again- obviously & Roy the dog (Jo's Jack Russell who sits at the mixing desk). and .... footie for the boys- OBVIOULSY!!
