From Tom Jobim to Johnny Cash, Warren Zevon to Tom Waits, Tom Petty and Mike Campbell to the Mother Hips, David Gilmour to Hendrix, from "Fade to Black" to "Back In Black", to Willie floatin' down ol' "Whiskey River", to all the way beyond that which we might perceive to be "The Dark Side of the Moon"...and all that which lays in between...Salute!!! Huge musical influences far too vast in scope and scale to begin to try explain. The visual arts affect me in the same way as the art of music...be it a journey through the sonically visual landscape of Pink Floyd or sitting amongst the visually sonic landscape of Roberto Matta...they are very similiar experiences...one in the same.
"La Comedia Divina" by Dante Alighieri...hmmm...gonna have to think about the others for awhile...
First of all my mother and father. They have both lived extraordinary lives, made extraordinary sacrifices for others, and never asked for anything whatsoever in return. Beyond that, everything else is probably cliche' ...actually, one other real time hero, is General Wesley Clark. A true man of character and one with whom one could most certainly trust one's life.
