About Me

What I say:
I play drums, guitar, bass, sing, write songs, record my stuff, help other people record their stuff, perform in big, medium and small places. However, over all of that, I enjoy playing in living rooms and back / front porches the most. I have been doing it since I was 7, which means that I have been doing it for 20 years, which is kind of weird if you think about it.

I am always searching for new music where the instant I hear it, I say "where the hell has this music been all my life, and why didn’t anyone tell me about this sooner???".

You may have seen me play with a band, or you may have seen me play with just my guitar, but either way I hope you enjoyed what you saw, and even if you didn’t, I would like like to hear about it either way.

I enjoy unobstructed views from tall remote places, and have a soft spot in my heart for:

vintage guitars vintage drums vintage cars people who make me laugh chocolate milk embroidered western shirts cheese dark hair w/blue or green eyes people who utilize their blinker words that start with the silent letter "P" that really shouldn’t, such as: pterodactyl, psycho, psomas, pseudo, psyber, psyche, ptocholgony, pneumatic, pneumonia, pseudonym, psychology, psalm, psychiatrist. I think you get the point. However, while we’re on the topic, there are other interesting words that have the letter "P" that really shouldn’t, such as: cupboard, receipt, raspberry , corps, etc.

So, in short, if you are a musician and would like to play some music, you name the time and place and I will be there. If you are not a musician but enjoy any of the above listed, you name the time and the place and I’ll be there. Also, if you’re buying dinner or beer, or both, you name the time and the place and I’ll be there.

While most widely know as the drummer for Hammond Organ driven Roots-Rockers Buffalo Creek , many are unaware that Nick Bearden also moonlights as a Singer / Songwriter / Bassist / Record Producer / Engineer / Embroidered Western Shirt Aficionado / Arranger / for both his own solo projects, and others.

As the owner of Buffalo Creek Studios, Bearden gained credibility engineering / mixing / producing for numerous acts ranging from rock, country, acoustic, pop, hip hop & R&B, jazz, and more. Bearden also mixed the album Signal To Noise and engineered / mixed the album Paint By Numbers . Bearden is currently working on several recording projects with Northern California and International Artists in addition to a new solo record, as yet to be titled.

An accomplished drummer and guitarist of over 20 years, Bearden has had the privilege of recording and / or performing / studying with the likes of:

Smith (Saturday Night Live Band Leader, go-to Session guy) Michael O’Dorn (Merle Travis, Chet Atkins) Kinski Matt Baldoni (Dr. Dre, Arrested Development, Mindi Abair, currently on tour with Frankie Valli, etc) Many other singer / songwriters / recording artists and performers.

During the early to mid 2000’s, Bearden was also touring with live hip / hop R&B artist W.H.A.T. and Brit-Pop-Rockers Caveat . Bearden is currently available for touring & studio work for drums | guitar | bass | engineering | producing.
