I am a singer/songwriter who on a whim dropped everything I was doing to open a clothing boutique in Nashville, TN. Canadian born, my dad joined the US Marines and brought me to the states at a young age. After jumping around the country I finally landed in Nashville at 17 and haven't left since. Playing music and hopping bars was a big thing for me then. Printers Alley was the place to be, everyone from Tim McGraw to Tanya Tucker was hanging and taking turns with the Mic. Late nights and longs days are what I remember it to be. Going to the Grand ole Opry to see Ricky Van Shelton and getting to see new artists like Garth Brooks which was a treat even then and no one new who he was.
After pursuing my music for many years I landed a job in production for RCA records and later A&R for Artisa Austin records I learned much about the in's and out's of the business. I met so many amazing people some of which are my best friends today. After leaving the lables I moved on and put my band together and played in and out of town singing and writing for about 3 years.
With frustrations of my music not going where I wanted I decided to open a clothing boutique right on music row. I never expected to get so many singers and stylists and just cool people to meet and talk to and actually shop at my store! I had no idea that it would be such a hit and no idea there was such a need. I only new I wasn't happy with the shopping in Nashville, that there wasn't enough places to go for guys or girls, don't get me wrong there were definatley a few cool spots just not enough of them. Anyway, that's where I'm at for now and I haven't looked back since I opened the door the only difference is I work harder than I ever have and I truly appreciate the little things.
