Ride the hot hand!

About Me

Roller derby skater, trainer and announcer. I skate and train for the LA Derby Dolls. I have announced for: LA Derby Dolls (including Battle on the Bank '08), San Diego Derby Dolls, Bay Area Derby Girls, Bakersfield Rollergirls, Smog City Rollergirls, Sonoma County Roller Derby, OC Rollergirls (Roll for a Cure '08).Suzy Snakeyes was born in Las Vegas to a wealthy and prestigious family. But as the oft-neglected daughter of a well-known casino owner, she was always looking for new and interesting ways to entertain herself. Her favorite activity came in the form of cheating at casino games, and she would soon earn herself a nice chunk of change swindling tourists at street craps on the Strip. Suzy would eventually take things up a notch by sneaking into casinos and cheating at the craps tables, right under the watchful eye of security. Wearing roller skates to ensure a quick getaway, Suzy became rather successful at this new enterprise. But her luck ran out when she was caught inside her daddy’s very own casino smuggling loaded dice in her training bra. Banished from her family as well as Las Vegas, Suzy hit the road in search of the next big thrill. She found it with the LA Derby Dolls, where a fast-moving, sneaky gal like Suzy can take her devious ways to the track. As a founding member of the Tough Cookies, Suzy still gets her kicks just as she always has – by rolling fast and hitting all the hard ways.

My Interests

ROLLER DERBY!!! Also roller skating in general, roller disco, wearing roller skates to job interviews, getting tattooed on roller skates, interpretive dance on roller skates (preferably to Journey songs) and hockey. But not roller hockey. Ice hockey.

I'd like to meet:

Fine-ass broads who live to skate derby-style. And the fans, friends, and potential Troopies who love and worship said fine-ass broads. And those who want to give me endless amounts of Raviolios, as they are like crack to me. Surprisingly enough, nobody has done that yet. Weird.I'd also like to meet Spaghetti Cat:

Music:

70's easy listening, 80's hair metal, not a whole lot from the 90's, and 00's alt rock. I also like Tom Jones as finds a way to span all decades, it seems. Dude is timeless, and that's why he deserves my panties.

Movies:

Xanadu, Boogie Nights, Pulp Fiction, Orgazmo, Cannibal the Musical, Almost Famous, Slap Shot, Fear of a Black Hat, This is Spinal Tap, and just about anything by Kevin Smith or Christopher Guest.

Television:

Heroes, Veronica Mars, The Office, Scrubs, 30 Rock, Pushing Dasies, Lost, Rollergirls, Best Week Ever, The Soup (I luvs me some celebrity gossip), Wife Swap (delicious guilty pleasure), Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Arrested Development, Cheaters, Sesame Street, The Muppet Show, Fraggle Rock, 90210 and Melrose Place reruns. And I'm not too proud to admit that I TiVo Days of our Lives on a daily basis, but it's true. Yeah, I said it.

Heroes:

My fellow Tough Cookies, the Derby Dolls and all of the other badass roller derby chicks nation and worldwide. And this little guy:

There's a Catholic church down the street from where I live -- St. Charles Borromeo -- which is one of those massive, beautiful structures that likely has a ton of history. I discovered early on that ...

Amusing moment of the day

Mr. S and I were having lunch on the patio of a coffee shop in Toluca Lake today. While we were eating, an old lady walks by pushing a shopping cart. She stops at our table and asks..."Do you know whe...

The day I made technology grind to a halt at the Apple Store

The time was pre-Christmas and the location was the Glendale Galleria. I was, of course, Christmas shopping at arguably one of the busiest places on the planet Earth. I had spent much of my time there...

Morbid Death Blog...seriously!

Ever since Steve Irwin passed away a week or so ago, I've been fixated on the thought of people dying doing what they loved.  Or at least, that's what people like to say when they die.  From...
