No..... you're not fed up of swaggering inde sing alongs, melancholic guitar ballads or angry power punk, and neither are The Dead Sea Souls. These guys care not about the other bands in the same possition - strugling to make an impression on an often inpregnable music industry. Everyone does their own thing, The Souls respect that and are here merely for their own bit of carry on. So here we have some funky pop rock for all the girls to get wet about, and it works. What a joy, check this shit out fellow Myspacers.... arguably an intelligent, tight and well composed unit of like minded musicians keen to flood the airwaves with extremely catchy yet thoughtful pop music. Comparisons have been made with the Chilies, Franz, and The Music..... Maybes aye, maybes no... Spin your way through the above tunes and make your own decisions..... and by all means feel free to share your thoughts and opinions.
On top of all this, there is a band, a four piece, and only a year old. Starting life in Whitburn West Lothian, the DSS swiftly relocated to the dungeons of the Engine Room to conjure up the tunes you here now..... among many others. You catch them regularly on the live scene, playing local venues such as the Livi Nitespot and Room at the Top with other impressive outfits like The Grim Northern Social and the Complete Stone Roses, as well as Glasgow and Edinburgh's more notable attractions - the Liquid Rooms, Barfly and King Tuts.
The Dead Sea Soul's have recently released a 4 song EP, which include their favorite hits: ID, Sex Machine, Feeling Strange and Angel. Also available is their first EP made up of This Ship Has Sailed, Beside Me and Hotter. All of these tracks are free to download or even better; pick up at every gig - free of course.
