Jamie McKay

Jamie McKay is a singer/songwriter hailing from a small town called Bathgate in Scotlands central belt.
Now based in Edinburgh, and with a catalogue of finely crafted original songs, Jamie has recently started to gig on the Glasgow/Edinbugh circuit, where his set has attracted the silent attention of even the most seasoned hecklers. His songs have that "heard that before, but not quite" quality to them and tend to get stuck in your brain as easily as any radio friendly hit going.
Having recently supported top acts such as Chris Helme (The Seahorses), Mark Morriss (the bluetones) and Figure 5, Jamie is hoping to raise his profile further with similar gigs.
Online magazine 'invinciblemag' was recently quoted as saying "The general feel of McKay 's work is in the Travis and Damien Rice arena and the material does not suffer by comparison" and that his vocals were "genuinely haunting and emotive"
Jamie is looking to make things happen over the coming months, and has recently started recording his debut album.
