"What are you so scared of?" --Sink or Swim

About Me

Lacey Black and Red Rhapsody are Durango's most down-to-earth, snuggle-up-with-a-glass-of-wine, smile-and-tap-your-foot, folk-pop band. Lacey's original songs are personal, heart-wrenching, and hopeful, in the piano folk-pop style of Sarah McLachlan and Norah Jones. Backing up her crystal clear voice is a wide array of three part harmony performed by James and Evan. reminiscent of Alison Krauss and Union Station. Guitarist James Macklin, bassist Evan Suiter, and percussionist Mike Pratt, contribute their multi-faceted talents as each song takes you to a familiar spot in your life that perhaps you haven’t visited in awhile. You’ll feel like you are right there in Lacey’s living room as she is writing the song… about you. Speaking volumes to the human condition, love, loss, and hope, Unsent Letter is the band’s second full-length CD and was released Friday, February 23rd at the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College.
