Mention the name DJ Lenno to most Australians, and immediately you’ll get a response synonymous with……. The most famous Australian Urban DJ, of all time.

The impact that Lenno has made on what we listen to today in urban music, has earned him, the connotation as the “God father of Australian R&B.”

Whilst fitting in a colourful career as a lawyer, DJ Lenno been instrumental in pioneering urban music in Australia for over a decade

With 4 gold albums to his credit, DJ Lenno has since sold over 200,000 CDs, achieving not only combined gold & platinum status but also an accredited ARIA award as testimony to his massive following in Australia; as well as over a decade of success & appearances in more than 600 clubs and events worldwide.

DJ Lenno was the first DJ in Australian history to release an urban compilation called “The Ultimate R&B Collection” (released through Warner music Australia in 1997). Cutting edge at its time, the critics couldn’t stop raving about it:

The Sunday Telegraph graphically mirrored public response to Dj Lenno by rating “the Ultimate R & B Collection” a 7/10, out bidding Spiceworld by the Spicegirls (5/10) and Carnival of Souls by Kiss (3/10)…. R&B had come of age and thanks to DJ Lenno was now commercially accepted.

DJ RECKDACON

A new edition to the cities nightclub scene, DJ RECKDACON has established himself as a magnet for infused trance on the dance floor. DJ RECKDACON draws upon his own trans-tasman kiwi heritage to establish his innovative sets of fresh RnB and Hip Hop.

RECKDACON believes “the most important attribute of being a good Dj is to be able to read the crowd”. He cuts his regular RnB and Hip Hop style at the Booty Bar on Saturday nights and revels in playing his music to the arm-thrashing crowds.

His love and ambition to become a DJ was influenced by some of Sydney’s most finest and talented DJ’s. DJ RECKDACON says, “Seeing the crowd get that vibe, gives you this adrenaline rush which keeps me coming back every week.”

RECKDACON was supporting DJ for Katchafire and Fast Crew in 2005 and has honed his skills further in Sydney’s local pub scene throughout 2006.
