Hey everyone, Just a little about me.
I'm a lover of music with a diverse taste for all arts...
Growing up in the bay area for one, has shown me to be myself and to be open-minded. I've experienced the best and worse in my time on this planet.
But what I do know is that, we only have so much time to make an impact while we are still here. So my theory goes beyond what the average person would have on life in general. You can say I'm a spiritual individual..with an old soul.
Focused and ambitious in chasing my dreams and following my heart.
My father has been a big influence on me musically...
Supporting me by putting me in piano, gutiar, drum, percussion, voice lessons.
My mother was a promising dancer in her youth and gave me the support as
a break dancer.
Music has been in my blood for this long and is still flowing through my veins.
All from one thing..my heart. What I love, what makes me who I am.
What I think of every morning when I wake up... this is my destiny.
This is my autobiography.
"Ambishn" aka was born and raised in San Jose, CA. As a first generation Guatemalan-American, his life has lead an unique path with a courageous story to tell as well. Musically speaking, his production and lyrics can't be duplicated into a certain stereotype. Ranging from deep soulful beats, melodic street tunes to hard hitting bass beats, his style is raising attention from the hip hop community local and international. Touching the world!
Ambishn's father was a major influence in his musical awareness early on, and encouraged him to listen to everything from jazz, rhythm & blues, rock, classical, pop and funk. As a professional guitarist himself, he enrolled Joseph into classical piano at the young age of 6.
Ambishn now at age 13 he decided to dedicate his young years as a
B-Boy. Forming a breaking crew with his partner and good friend "Swipht" in 1991, they gained worldwide recognition representing the Bay Area and California. The Planet Rock crew finally dispersed in 1998 with one of the members "Fire" gaining exposure dancing and choreographing MTV's hottest Artists.
Ambishn chose to speak to the youth though music and begin in journey
creating a revolution to change the worlds minds with the remedy of hip hop.
Ambishn is not just a MC, Producer, B-BOY, Artist, He's a born leader that
has been blessed to open thee eyes of the blinded and misguided.
With all his passion for music he also was fond of martial arts where he found him self training and finally recieving a Black Belt in Shao-Lin Kung Fu.
With Knowlege in all styles like Drunken Style, Nothern Fist, Tai Chi Chuan,
Black Tiger, Praying Mantis, Eagle Claw, Monkey, and Golden Snake.
Ambishn recieved a signed letter from "Jet Li" for his accomplisments in the arts.
Ambishn stepped into his first professional recording studio at 18 years old.
Where the dream has just begun. The alias "Ambishn" was givin to him from his close friend and mc partner "Influence". He is known for all the hard work he puts into living his dream. But most of all he continues to fight in making
this society a more concious place where the truth rises as the fake hide.
His 1st album "Eternal Soul" was released in 2003, 2nd album "Beats 4 Lyrical Cyphers vol.1" was released in 2005, as well as poetry published in international works around the globe.
