Hip-Hop. All 4 elements and the way of life. The gym, food, travelling, women, films.
Deejays, emcees, breakers, graffiti writers, producers, girls, virtuosos, maestros, athletes, pimps. Everyone on my friends list I haven't met already.
Hip-Hop, Soul, Funk, Reggae, Electronica, Rock, Country and Western, Blues, Turntablism, Beatbox.......
Mainly films I've been watching on Film4 over the last while. A Clockwork Orange, Blow, Sid & Nancy, Pusher, Out Of It, Blood For Dracula, 16 Years Of Alcohol, The Godfather, Coming To America. Films that interest me the most sometimes are the ones that are least known, real-to-life, or hardest to get hold of.Classic favourites are Wildstyle, Krush Groove, Beat Street, Breakin 1 & 2, Boyz N the Hood, Juice, New Jack City, Friday, Nightmare on Elm Street, Rocky, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, American Psycho, Scarface, Casino, Goodfellas....... to name a few.
Not a lot really apart from real-life and the news, the medium can be so un-inspiring and most of the time is really just junk-food for the mind...
Mainly non-fiction e.g. biography but own Iceberg Slim's autobiography, "Pimp" and each of his novels. Anything associated with Hip-Hop culture. Motivation.
You are your heroes.
