K1 - LIVE @ XCLUSIVE FRIDAYS MAY 29TH!

Up and coming Sydney based hip hop group K1 (Konnected as 1), are running the competition out of town thanks to their uplifting beats and vocals. Group members 2 Deep, B Wise, Egasm and Young Glove, all met at a young age when they were part of am African Australian community, and as they grew older, their bond grew tighter and they started performing together. The name came about as they tried to find different ways to describe their unity amongst each other as friends and business partners.
Already signed up to record label Certified Music Group, this group promises to be a big hit within Australia as one of few rap/hip hop groups. K1 recently won the award for best hip hop/rap group 2008 from the 1st African Australian Awards. There were many other contestants in the category, but K1 grabbed the award with all of the work that they had done in the past 5 years of being together.
Notably, K1 also performed as the opening act for Flo Rida when he toured around Australia.
Trying to keep their music up to date and fresh, the group claim to mix up their styles when performing to keep the audience relating. If it calls for some softer songs, then they will perform that, but when the see that the crowd wants to jump and move, then they will play some of their harder beats.
The group has reached the wider audience and their talents are now called for in various cities around the country. The group shall be hitting the road in the start of 2009 for a “state to state club tour” to promote the new single and music video "Were You Wanna Go" With approximately 3 performances every month, the group seem to be taking the scene with full force.
Another one of their hits “One of the same” can be heard on their website www.myspace.com/Konnectedas1 and their debut album "New Breed" shall be released shortly within Australia in early 2009.
