Dj Blend is a unique and talented dj. Possessing many reputable aspects such as turntablism, scratching and mixing. Dj Blend has incorporated these skills into 3 main genres’ of music, Electro, Hip-Hop and his most favorite, Break beats.
Djing since late 2000 and going pro early 2004 Dj Blend has played in some of QLD's biggest RnB Hip-Hop clubs, in addition also alongside of some of the industries top names. Blend has played at such clubs like the Vibe Nightclub, Ice Bar, Chi Bar, Quest Nightclub (Gold Coast), Gas Hip-hop parties (Syd), Cesar’s (Bris) and Australia's nationally renown super rnb club Mercury (Bris). Mass Nightclub, Mystique Arena, He has also played at such artist after parties/performances as Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Kanye West, Mobb Deep, Obie Trice, De La Soul and supported djs, such as Nino brown, Tikelz, Peter Gunz, A-style, Sefu to name just a few...
In 2004 Dj Blend teamed up with partner Singer song writer and producer Christie Tymms and entered the world renown Experiments in sound competition launched by Future Music and backed by Sony BMG Corporation USA. With a staggering 10 million plus applicants competition the pending process was long and suspenseful. Though Dj Blend did not win the competition, they were announced and ranked top 10 respectfully... on a GLOBAL scale. This proved one of Dj Blends all time greatest achievements, also opening many doors and thus providing a bright and beneficial future career in the industry.

After much success in the RnB Hip Hop scene Blend yearned for more musical excitement, in doing so he made the executive decision to hang up his Colorado boots and A town cap and take his skills and experience from the hip-hop world and venture into the realm of electronic dance music majoring in electro house and break beats, which sparked a new passion and a new blossoming relationship once again between a Dj and music.
Coincidently his decision was made just in time for the annual "central station dj battle 2007" where 50 applicants entered. The final outcome secured a position in the finals and the overall outcome ranked blend of the top 5 in the competition.
Blend hit the ground running at top speed after recently being exposed in the Central station Monastery Dj comp. Blend was made to 'strike while the iron was hot' and in doing so proved quite beneficial. Since then Blend has played at some of brisbanes and the Gold Coasts top house and break clubs around the heart of brisbanes dance scene, these include, Monastery nightclub, Planet nightclub, GPO - (Break n Enter) Quest nightclub on the GC, the nationally renown "booty Bar" electro room at the Slip-Inn and Brisbane’s notorious super club “The Met†all within just a few months of switching genres.
Dj Blend chooses the tracks on his mixes very carefully. Ensuring the tracks fit together nicely. He believes the combination of these two elements is the most important aspect of the mix. When he has made a mix that contains those elements in a smooth blend, he's inevitably made a successful mix. Dj Blend treats the creation of the mixes as a competition with himself. It’s not always easy and its very time consuming. Despite the challenge, he never quits.
