About Me

Christie believes in the distribution of wealth, free and fair elections, renewable energy, epic novels and the brilliance of Bob Dylan. She won the 2004 West Coast Songwriter Competition (Americana category) for Flood Gates, was a Finalist in the 2006 International Songwriting Competition for River Stone, and appears on several compilations with her sultry jazz tune Nothing Moves Me - including the Sharper Image’s Sirens of Song (along with Norah Jones and Diana Krall), Target’s Cocktail Hour, and Wells Fargo’s Women Trailblazers. She's an irreverent, spontaneous performer and has released 4 CDs: Winter (2006), Everyday Real (2003), The Fantasy Sessions (2000), and Serendipity (1998). Originally from Los Angeles, the talented daughter of famed LA Daily News columnist Dennis McCarthy has somehow evaded the eye of the music industry, but that's okay because she likes doing things her own way. Christie lives in the Bay Area and spends her time writing songs, taking to the stage with her guitar, and working to promote solar energy.

Keith Olbermann

Keith is the man. He's the only one on TV telling the truth about the Bush fiasco in Iraq and all the illegal and/or incompetant mis-steps by this administration. Watch this guy on MSNBC.

Good Books

I just finished The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. It's a great stereotype-buster about boys growing up in Afghanistan before, during and after the invasion of Russia thru the fall of the Taliban, wh...
