Guitarist Paul Geller has been active on the Bay Area Music Scene since 1985. He started out playing in bars and nightclubs in his High School years and has remained involved in various musical projects ever since. Paul has opened for many artists such as Guitar Legend Carlos Santana and Grammy Winnner Bobby Kimball of Toto. Playing gigs all around California with cover bands and original projects has kept him busy working with many talented musicians and singers both live and in the recording studio.Paul has been teaching guitar lessons for over 20 years. While studying music in college he continued his weekly lessons with some of the best guitar players and teachers in the Bay Area- Jazz Guitarist Neal Harris and Classical Guitarist Nick Shyrock.. He currently teaches private guitar lessons 5 days a week, holding down a full schedule of students age 7 and up. Paul teaches complete beginners to advanced players all styles of music on both acoustic and electric guitars. Paul taught after school guitar classes for grades 3 through 8 for over 13 years in the Ross Valley School District Music Program. Here he taught beginning to intermediate lessons to groups of 6 to 12 students at a time. This was a little like Paul’s own version of "School of Rock."Paul also is a pilot editor for the FJH Music Publishing Company of Fort Lauderdale, assisting in reviewing and editing beginning guitar lesson books. FJH publishes a large variety of music lesson books for piano and guitar. Paul has worked on the Young Beginner Series Volume 1 which contains the Lesson Book, Performance Book, Exploring Chords and Theory Activity Book. He has also worked on the new Everybody’s Favorite Guitar Method Book 1. Paul likes to use these books as teaching supplements to help students develop their music reading skills and basic musicianship which is very important.In addition, Paul writes and produces music for film, multimedia and television. He composes guitar parts on corporate videos, independent films and commercials. Some of his clients include Autodesk Software, Fox Sports Network, The Northface and the City of San Francisco. He keeps busy writing songs and playing on a variety of CDs and demos for many artists ranging from singer- songwriters Susan Z and Sarah Davis to San Francisco Punk Rockers The Nuns. He enjoys producing demo and complete CDs for local bands and artists. Paul feels that there is a lot of great talent in the Bay Area and he really enjoys working with the artists as they develop their sound.Paul performs many gigs from solo guitar playing cafes, parties and weddings; to full band playing rock, r n b, blues, funk and standards for corporate events, concerts and festivals. Some of his clients include Starbucks Coffee, American Cancer Society, Mill Valley Film Festival and Guide Dogs for the Blind. He has performed live or in the studio with Eric Martin, (Mr Big) Jeff Watson, (Night Ranger) Gigi Gonaway, (Mariah Carey) Jimmy Sage, (Scotty Moore, Lee Rocker) and Jude Gold (Associate Editor Guitar Player Magazine).

Influences: It all started with Eddie Van Halen, so I need thank him for the start to this musical journey! My first guitar teachers who taught me so much about music- Neal Harris and Nick Shryock. Here are a few of the many players that come to mind that have inspired my playing in many ways!!
