Hi my name is KC. Yes, just the 2 letters and not initials, it makes no grammatical sense. I am 25 and live in Marin County, just North of San Francisco. The bay area is a fantastic place to live and it has a local music scene that is just simply amazing. There are so many fantastic independent musicians out here and I am privileged to call so many of them my friends.
So who the hell am I? I am nobody, but I do write and play out my own music. I love writing songs and the creation process involved. Sharing music and entertaining people is something that makes me really happy. It just feels right. I moved to the bay area in Oct. 2005. After life was pulling some total bullshit shenanigans on me, I decided to pack up and leave Columbia Missouri (home). Minneapolis, MN?...hmmm, its kinda cold there...Austin, TX...well its kinda hot there...San Francisco?...the decision was completely random, but so is the City.

In an effort to bring fabulous independent music to people, I host a successful house concert series. You can see it listed in my schedule as: "KC Turner House Concert Series"...These house concerts are amazingly fun and exciting. There really is nothing better than hearing good music unplugged in a living room. It is also a great way to meet new people and make friends.

In addition to hosting house concerts, I also host a weekly open mic in Novato at a pub called Finnegan's Marin . We are there every Monday night. My above calendar will reflect the featured performers that I book every week. We get some crazy crazy good music in that place on Monday's. Please come by sometime and join us. Such a great bunch of people! It starts @ 8pm.
On the 4th Monday of every month, I co-host a radio show with my good friend Mindy Berrett on KRCB Radio from 10pm-Midnight. Basically, I round up 4 artists that I feel worthy and present them to our listeners. It is so much fun! You get to know a little more about the performer and here a few songs live on the air! In addition to that, my partner/good friend, Drew Pearce and I host a Charity Benefit Show on the last Tuesday of every month. It is called, "8th Notes from Underground and it takes place at the wonderful Bazaar Cafe in San Francisco. The proceeds go towards carefully selected non-profits and to the local artists that perform at the event. Our point is to help raise awareness of people in need and to support local music; a 100% win-win in our book!
In addition to that, I am also a photographer. I shoot everything (with a camera), but recently have been getting into shooting bands and live music (again, with a camera). It is so much fun and there is just an abundant amount to photograph in the bay area. Again, there is another myspace dedicated to my photos.
