About Me

Loralee Christensen has been performing and recording for over 15 years. Her powerful three-octave range keeps her in demand at recording studios from San Francisco to Nashville. Loralee Christensen has performed live and/or in the studio with soul legend Bettye Lavette, Eric Martin (4-1-5, Mr. Big, EMB), Davey Pattison (Ronnie Montrose, Gamma), Dave Jenkins (Pablo Cruise), Rebecca Lynn Howard (Tony La Russa's ARF Benefit), Clarence Clemons (The E-Street Band), Mickey Thomas (The Starship, Elvin Bishop), and Johnny Colla (Huey Lewis & the News), as well as many other popular Bay Area bands and musicians at concerts, corporate events, weddings, and in nightclubs.She is first-call for many songwriters and has worked for such luminaries as: Narada Michael Walden (Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston) Alex Call (Huey Lewis, Pat Benatar, Tommy Tutone) Andre Pessis (Bonnie Raitt, Mr. Big) Stephony Smith (The Dixie Chicks, Shania Twain, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Alecia Eliot) Ziggy Modeliste (The Meters, The Neville Brothers) Walter Afanasieff (Mariah Carey, Celine Dion) Jeffrey Cohen (Patti Austin, Mariah Carey, Earth Wind & Fire, Aretha Franklin) and Jonathon Caine (Journey)Loralee has extensive studio experience as a commercial vocalist and voice-over artist. Her national television and radio spots include work for Mazda, Levi Strauss, Mattell, Taco Bell, Sizzler, Clorox, Jello, Sunkist, Supercuts, PineSol, Kahlua, Pizza Bagel Bites, Stridex, and Glad Bags. Loralee can be heard singing lead and background vocals in the indie animated motion picture "Film Noir" and its soundtrack CD, she performed background vocals for several tracks in the 2005 film "RENT" and its soundtrack CD, and is the vocalist on the songs "Black Velvet" and "Close My Eyes Forever" on Playstation's "Karaoke Revolution American Idol Encore" game.

Sounds Like: I sound uniquely like me. Okay, okay . . . Sometimes I sound like Bonnie Raitt. Sometimes I sound like Janis Joplin. Sometimes I even sound like Wynonna or Aretha Franklin. Then there are times I sound like Karen Carpenter. Go figure.
