About Me

Some bands I've worked with but definately not all. Primus, Dawson and Tate, Larry James Blues band, Louis Madison, Jimmy Mamou, Steve Gannon, Beverly Stoval, E.C. Scott, Davey Pattison, Matt Callahan and the Wild Bouquet, Her grace The Duchess, The Tantrums, Susan Z, The Heather Coombs Band, Step Children, Comfy Chair,Started playing at 14 and was playing out at 16 in pop and rock bands. Then I found Frank Zappa and my world was changed forever. I studied locally with Donn Spindt, Jeff Campitelli, Alan Hall. In 1992 I moved to LA and went to the Musicains Institute where I studied with Joe Porcaro, Ralph Humphries, Efrain Toro, Casey Schreull, Toss Panos and Joel Taylor. I stayed in LA and worked in the music scene down there for a couple of years. In 96 I relocated to the Bay and after playing at Eli's Mile High sunday jam I started working with Jimmy Mamou, Beverly Stoval and The Larry James Band. I became the house drummer at Eli's with Larry James and Louis Madison ( of James Browns Famous Flames)In 98 I began working with Matt Callahan formerly of the Looter's in his new project the Wild Bouquet. W.B. spent the next three years touring in europe, Canada and the Pacific Northwest.In 2001 I started working with The Heather Coombs Band and played the local scene and got an opener for The Who at the Saremento Valley Ampitheater.Since then I have played with several projects. Some R&B with Her Grace the Duchess, Revue work with Herb ( Herb Alpert Tribute ) Did gigs with the Gun And Doll Show, The Tantrums, as well as doing some jazz casuals.I am strong in Blues, funk, rock and jazz with a good dynamic sense and big ears.

My Interests

Cycling( road, mountain and cyclo-cross), Music( I have played drums forever but I have recently taken up the electric bass. Cooking, Coaching the Berkeley High School Mountain Bike Team, Wood Working, LIghting Design
