About Me
Manny has been playing professionally for over fifteen years throughout the U.S. and abroad. He has worked with many prominent Bay Area bands including Super Booty which was named "The most successful corporate cover band in the nation," by Gig Magazine in November 2000, the popular RnB group Double Funk Crunch, Orchestra Saboricua, Grupo Adelante, The Contemporary Jazz Orchestra, and Jerry Ferrari Big Band. He has also shared the stage with several renowned artists such as Sheila E. (Escovedo) and her father, Latin jazz percussionist, Pete Escovedo, Mic Gillette of Tower of Power, Armando Perraza of Buena Vista Social Club and many others. Manny has recorded two albums and two live concert DVDs with the Christian Latin Funk group, Masada, and two live concert DVDs with Mystique, San Jose's leading Latin, Old School, RnB group.Besides playing popular and jazz music, Manny is an excellent classical musician as well. In May of 2005, he performed with the Golden State Pops Orchestra for the North American premiere performance of "Battle for the Heroes", the single from the movie soundtrack, "Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith".Most recently, 2006 and 2007, Manny held the position of lead trumpet for Royal Caribbean Cruise International "Grandeur of the Seas" Orchestra and "Rhapsody of the Seas" Orchestra. At the moment he is on vacation(in between contracts) and is enjoying his time on land with family and friends.
