Piper's Creek

Celtic Traditional Music from Seattle

About Me

Be sure to check this page often - We will be recording a new demo CD in February, followed by our first full-length album later in the year.

Piper's Creek plays a blend of Scottish and Irish traditional music seasoned with American and European influences. Some have described our sound as being delicate and thoughtful, while others have remarked on the underlying energy that emerges in our dance music. The band takes it's name from the Piper's Creek Watershed, a beautiful, lush corner of North Seattle.A colorful array of instrumentation allows our sound to change dramatically within one tune set. From a tender aire or slow reel, the mood can shift in a heartbeat to the driving pulse of a jig or hornpipe.Stretching the boundaries of idiom and instrumentation, our music is equally at home in a concert hall, chapel, party or pub.
