FolkPort

About Me

British and Irish folkrock with guts, atmosphere and celtic undertones is the trademark of FolkPort. Their varied musical concept covers everything between punchy trad.- and dancetunes and poetic ballads and instrumentals. With their unique joy in performance, relaxed stage presence and a perfect mix between their own and more traditional music, FolkPort creates a mutual music pub mood. Whether it’s on a large festival stage or at a smaller concert venue doesn’t matter. It happens every time. You can set your mind at peace with epic ballads or sing along to nasty drinking tunes but you will surely not be able to sit still when FolkPort stir up their punchy dancetunes, jigs & reels. After some years on the road with their music FolkPort is a band in demand for festivals and concert venues in Norway and abroad and they perform at their fourth Skagen Festival in Denmark in 2008.
