Down in the murkiest streets of the Southest of London, a rare species can be found zipping about in her beloved 1984 Nova. Not your average South London bird, but a bright, colourful, uniquely positive strain from far flung isles. Emanating from the Nova, you’ll hear all sorts of sounds as it passes you by on Brixton High Street – sometimes a likka Reggae, often some summer Soul and Broken grooves, not infrequently, a crisp Drum and Bass roller, and on special occasions a bumpin’ Hip Hop groove. Observe Ayah in her natural habitat; surrounded by beats ... Since starting her foray into music, Ayah has feasted on the affirmative, drawing in her many musical influences, allowing them to grow and flourish into soulectronic, seductive grooves.
