Intrigue is a club night based in Bristol UK showcasing the deeper sounds of drum n bass. It was started in 2003 by Ben Payne and Joe Wills aka The Insiders, and has seen many homes during that time. Intrigue began life at Bar Latino on a fortnightly Wednesday slot, and went on to stage nights at Sodabar, Level, E-Shed, Arc Bar and Warehouse before settling into its established home at Dojo Lounge at the end of 2005. The main residents are The Insiders (Metalheadz/Creative Source/31).Each month our lineup includes established d'n'b artists alongside up and coming names. Guests who've graced the decks at Intrigue in the past year include: Fierce, D-Bridge, DJ Storm, Commix, Invaderz, LTJ Bukem, A.I., Fabio, DJ Patife, Alix Perez, Jenna G, Marcus Intalex, Martyn, Digital, Makoto, TC1, Doc Scott, Break, Bryan G & Influx UK. Aside from the music a popular attraction is the quarterly BBQ on the terrace.
2008 has been the most successful year for Intrigue to date, each event ramming out the Dojo. Intrigue has also seen critical acclaim from Fabio on BBC Radio 1, as well as Knowledge, ATM and Venue Mag.
