About Me

Eleanor and Susan were found crushed at the back of a children's book late in 1989. They both had flat hair and poofy skirts, but they have luckily been revived to full grown up size and better fashion sense. When not visiting old friends in old books, they like to spend their time inventing limericks and raps. Just ask them to tell you their "I read this great book yesterday" rap and just laugh and laugh...at them specifically. Their dreams of living in the back cover of a book have ended, and they have discovered they are unable to become hip hop artists or professional streetperformers. But they are fairly decent at showing a good book to a new person. Come visit. Come laugh; come cry. Most of all, come to suck down and digest a good book, short story, or poem.

My Interests

Susan and Eleanor are working on a self-improvement year in 2006. We are seeking out mentors in such fields as sewing, cooking, knitting, public speaking, making paper, doing our own nails, reading a book in another language, tap dancing, playing the pan flute, singing madrigals, reciting ancient love poetry by heart, writing in runes, bedazzling, minor orthodontics, defying gravity, spinning music, and unearthing secrets in our own backyard.Chris just loves to make fun of them and rolling her eyes.

I'd like to meet:

People who read, write, publish or eat books.

Music:

Julie Clark and her album, Feel Free

Movies:

Susan and Eleanor only enjoy the finest cultural films of our day and time. We enjoy Cabin Fever, 40 Year Old Virgin, and The Mighty Ducks 3.

Television:

When would we have time to watch TV? Of course, Susan suffers from an unnatural obsession with football, but that doesn't even last the whole year. Eleanor spends football season translating modern novels into her own version of sign language/polka dancing. It is great-you oughta check it out.

Books:

There are too many to list here. You can go to www.broadstreetbooks.com.

Heroes:

Mighty Mouse "Here I come to save the day!" Jane Eyre, she was mousy, but she got her blind old man Rocky Dr. Scholls Milo from The Phantom Tolbooth Alex P. Keaton The Cure
