About Me

Writer/actor/wife/sister/daughter/friend... I am so many things (well, I guess we all are)... One of my favorite things to do is write. I enjoy purging all those things that float in my head on to paper.
Another thing that captures my attention are people's stories - life stories...testimonies...experiences. It helps me to see and understand where someone is coming from. It's so easy to develop an opinion of someone - whether good or bad - with very little information. If it's in the negative, you could walk away with a very unfair judgment of that person. Hearing people's points-of-views, I feel, helps us to be more loving towards one another.
My new website www.createdbyjana.com provides a bit of community for people, for both believers (in Christ) and unbelievers, in understanding where we each are coming from. Why should any one listen to us if we don't stop to listen to them? This provides an opportunity for unbelievers to hear why believers trust their lives to God. And allows believers to stop and listen to those unsure about their spiritual beliefs and God. In addition to people's Faith Journey Stories, there is a Prayer Community and a Forum to connect.
I have a brand new book out called 'And God Created Human: A Collection of Scenes and Monologues'. It's drama pieces for worship services, retreats and Bible studies that can be performed or just simply read. It's about humanity's quirky ways and God's love for us despite ourselves. Again, a reflection of people and our uniqueness. Great for discussion among believers, but also great for people seeking God. Humorous and easy to read.
Sections for each chapter includes: a topic for the scene/monologue, scripture that pertains to the topic, my own anecdote/thoughts on the topic, the scene/monologue itself and questions for reflection to encourage group/individual thoughts and discussions. Again, would love to have you check it out at my website www.createdbyjana.com.
Available for purchase at www.amazon.com and ww.christianbook.com and other online retailers. Also, ask for it at your local bookstore.
