Uncle GroOve sees the light in 2004 when I quite accidentally purchased a Nik Huber guitar, the one reviewed in the December 2004 edition of Guitar Player. All the pros - musicians or seasoned retail veterans - who played the guitar where just amazed, I can't think of any other words to describe the reaction.Over here (Italy) where I deal Nik's guitars, everybody was just obsessing over the usual three big names, F*, G*, P* . It was just The Thing to do for someone who had some extra cash to pile on a new guitar... buy a limited edition, private stock, custom sock, you-name-it, as long as it had one of the three hallowed logos.Almost 2 years later the collectors and professionals alike are attracted as never before to these instruments, testimony to the quality of Nik Huber's carefully honed handcraft (see the july '06 Tonequest interview). In the meantime things have started to pick up: I'm now dealing Juha Ruokangas' guitars for Italy (www.ruokangas.com) and giving a helping hand to the iconic american builder Saul Koll (www.kollguitars) to expand "over here". A couple of other names are brewing in the pot - but I'll refrain from prononuncing their names until the time is proper.Last but not least I'd like to prop my friend Damian Probett - who goes under the self effacing and very unassuming nickname of "Mouldynudger" in some US forums - who has just begun a career in guitar building (pics up shortly). His designs have an immediate appeal and are both refreshingly new but classic at the same time. Dude, I don't know how you've managed that, but me likes it. Mannaggia!!Contact info:

I'd like to meet:

Haeussel Pro Fans Daniele Gottardo (Alexia)! Here seen shredding w/ Chris Bertini (italian Dean Guitars endorser). Daniele plays a made to spec Fornasero guitar and is powered by his brain, soul, fingers & amp through a custom set Haeussel VIN+ A5 bridge and BigMag neck. Check out his YouTube vids ! Luca Colombo , an italian pro who also plays major acts and on italian TV (was recently seen playfully fondled by no one else than Mrs. Joss Stone!!), recently told me "I usually don't change p.ups in my guitars, with the exception of a Tyler...the tech installed a custom pickup in the bridge...I think it's a german thingie called..." "Haeussel, maybe?.." "Yeah that's it! Those yours?... Awesome!" Nothing nicer than true, spontaneous, real-world use, by an unbiased believer!!

Just listen to this track , willya? It's made my day. The band is called Arizona and I...er...huh... love 'em...Here are a couple of YouTube vids I'd like to share with you..... listed in no particular order whatsoever... how could I possibly decide who deserves to be first?!
