About Me
I started a salsa band when I was 16 with other teenage musicians. Our first and only performance was at my High School, DeWitt Clinton.
I would have never imagined that I would meet and work with so many singers, producers, actors, musicians, and bandleaders whose work I admired or was inspired by in one way or another.I have had the privelage and pleasure of working with: Celia Cruz, Pete Conde Rodriguez, Ray Barreto, Tito Gomez, Marvin Santiago..(Salsa misses you, R.I.P)...

In 2000, I would become the first original member of Fuerza Juvenil, a young talented salsa group full of energy and creativity. The group only recorded one album, entitled "MULTIPLICAME". The album was nominated for a Latin Billboard in 2001 under the "best album of the year by a new artist" category. In 2004, I joined Conjunto Imagen and recorded lead vocals on 8 tracks of their last album entitled "Ayer,Hoy,Y Manana". Currently, I am singing with Conjunto Imagen, the Chino Nunez & Friends Orchestra and free lancing as a background vocalist for many different artists.I also play percussion instruments like bongos, timbales, guiro, maracas, agogo bells, and claves, and other minor percussion instruments. I am also learning how to play congas and have recently taken on the task of studying acoustic guitar. One of my major goals is to form my own orchestra in the future, own my own studio, produce, maybe even learn to arrange and contribute to keeping salsa and latin music very much alive. Until then, I'll keep gaining experience, asking questions, and learning more and more (musically) as I go along. Wish me luck!
