Where do I begin just by being real. All who know me have known that I tell it like it is. You either love me or hate me but you are assured that what you see is what you get. Here we go i was born in 1976 (En el condado de la salsa) in the Bronx. Son of Bernardo and Lucila. I was raised in a predominantly Christian home but my father always had the famous Puerto Rican house parties. At these parties I was exposed to all types of latin music. Salsa, Merengue, Bomba, Plena, Musica de Trios. You name it i heard. In Jr High there I picked up the saxophone and loved it. It was my ticket to getting through life. With the help of Mike Diaz (Mid Git Recording Studios) I was able to channel all of my effort and abilities in to playing and composing music. At the age of 14 I was accepted into Fiorello H. LaGuardia Highschool Of Music and Art. At LaGuardia I was exposed to jazz and the classical masters from whom i draw my inspiration. I became a be-boper. I was able to meet tons and tons of great talented musicians at this school. Boy were we all talented. I think the 90's put out tons of musicians who are now the top salseros and jazz players in our business. (Carlito, Abe,Steven, Ricardo, Kevin Ceballo, Carlos O, and many others) I thank God that he has priveledged me with the talent of music. He blessed me with the opportunity to direct and play for many salseros. I have directed Luis Damon, Lalo Rodriguez, Andy Montañez, Cano Estremera, Hector Tricoche, Adalberto Santiago, Michael Stuart, Dominic, Jorge Luis, Frankie Negron. Yanko. I have played with Raulin Rosendo, Brenda K. Starr, Domingo Quiñones, Jose Alberto El Canario, Miles Peña, Azuquita, Miosotis, David Pabon, Charlie Cruz, Nino Segarra the list goes on and on. I have been priveledged to share the stage with legend such as Ray Barretto, Celia Cruz, Tito Puente and most recently with Eddie Palmieri. Out of all the artists i have been priveledged to direct and play for the one that i am most priveledged to direct and play for is Kevin Ceballo. He is one of the most talented young singers in our industry. He has the total package. He can sing write play the piano and best of all he has an inpecable ear. You have to hear that boy harmonize. But the best attribute he possessess is that he is my best friend. I have done countless arrangements for different salsa artists, in the secular as well as the christian market.
