Danny Mendez has been playing Latin Music for the past 20 years. He started playing with his mentor and father Andres Mendez. While finding his own style, he became a stronger musician. Danny flourished into a wonderful Latin percussionist. He formed his own band entitled “Danny Mendez and the Latin Project”. Danny’s resume of people and places he has performed are quite impressive. He has worked with internationally acclaimed artist, such as Pete "El Conde" Rodriguez, Celia Cruz, La India, and Dark Latin Groove (DLG). He is currently working with Gilberto Colon Jr.’s Latin jazz ensemble “Ensalada De Pulpo”. Also Danny is working in a Hector Lavoe tribute band called “La Orquesta De La Gente” under the direction of Gilberto Colon Jr. with an all-star cast of musicians. He has performed at the famous Madison Square Garden in New York City and has been playing all over the world. The roster of people Danny Mendez has played with is too numerous to mention. Suffice to say, Danny Mendez is part of the backbone of Latin music today. You can check Danny's profile at the LP website at www.lpmusic.com/Pros_That_Play_LP/Players_Roster/mendez.html
