About Me

ORDER YOUR ADVANCE COPY OF "EYES TO THE LEFT NOW", only £5.00,12 tracks.Buy "Eyes To The Left" on I-Tunes now, by clicking here! You can purchase "Innovations" and "Pedro" by clicking here .. These two tracks will not be on any forthcoming album. The mini album by Eden Featuring Martin K,called "The Analogue Bundle", is proving very popular and can purchased on I-Tunes by pushing this button. .."Eyes to The Left" is up on this site for a bit, and is on digital release in most of the stores now with a physical release available for pre-order now, for those requiring a little more in sound quality than MP3 and of course those wanting the rather nice booklet created by Jen Jen graphics. We were very lucky to get Damon Sawyer on drums direct from his O2 arena performance with Bill Wyman at the legendary Led Zeppelin reunion gig. Additional recent guitar work is from a young guy from Reading called Lewis Collins. Watch out for him, he..s gonna be a huge star. It was a very long journey that album and tremendous fun and I..m pretty proud of it, it is what it is, and I hope you enjoy it.Recording wise, I also record at Steve Darrel Smith..s "Room With A View " studio, and at CarlChamberlains. Steve recently celebrated his first UK number with Sandi Thom.THE ANALOGUE BUNDLE,"A LAUGHTER TIME" ON Napster and the new single.click and buy"40 RedLights Crossed "("40 Rivers", in the USA), this is up here as a taster for the next album, as yet unofficially titled for release in the new year.(working title "Fillet") I intend to explore the more basic side of instruments, songwriting and performance on this record and do an extra tour to support this project only. Stay tuned. Also, I am working on digging out and remastering an album I did in 1995 with Dave Parsons called "Growing Up", I have included a track in the past, from it called "S..amnesia" on this page, which is quite remarkable in its existence really, as it was recorded on 8 track cassette which was suffering from extreme tape strech which you can just hear on the MP3.Thanks for looking and stay in touch and I hope you like the paintings and screenprints that I am including.MKP.SIf you can decipher the following code, I will give you a personalised "Mood Painting", as feature on parts of this site. Ready? Here goes.I G C P A I D G A FHave fun!xI edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: myspace.com/mkmrecordings
Band Members: I tend to record using a line-up of Carl Chamberlain on guitar, Steve Darrell Smith on keys and Bob Mace on drums a lot of the upcoming album, I have played many of the guitars myself. ...check out Bob and Carl in Funhouse , Eden and the Pashuns.New song on the profile is "Eyes 2 the Left", which is a blend of dancing party music, thrash metal and finished off with a glitter topping, intrigued? Listen!lol.. The Martin kitcher Band – PedroVideo for "Take A Minute", from the One Minute album, which you can also find on Myspace, where there are many more videos to view, and many more in progress currently.
Influences: I..m a rare cross breed of musician songwriter and dj(sorry!)These days I am very influenced by comedy music and parodies,(less so since somebody hacked the site and changed the songs)! such as Stephen Lynch, Wierd Al Yankovich, Kevin Bloody Wilson. My first influence was Marc Bolan and I still love Bowie, The Clash, Eden, Kid Ko remixes, Nathan Jays work, The Beatles(of course) The Waterboys and The Pixies. I hate cd..s and I love my punk vinyl collection. Cd..s are clutter, vinyl is a treasured library.
Sounds Like: Very hard to pin down, every act I like get a slight knock or a respected nod.

I must say how chuffed I am to everybody`s opinion of the track "Motion"

I wrote it over a couple of weeks and borrowed riffs from my older work and reversed the meaning, this was meant to be a joke, but as of course, a lot of younger people know my stuff now, and not from...

How to confuse the major record stores that will not stock your independent releases.

This is actually quite easy and will satisfy many a DIY release merchant. With every digital release you independently release through your paid distibutor, you get an ISRC code. These codes can easil...
