Not Content Being Just Sensational, S.A.H.B, Are Also Extaordinary!!!
When Alex Harvey died in 1982 He left behind a legacy of passion that survives to this day, S.A.H.B took cult status and turned it into legend,a legend that rips up and re-write;s the rool book!!
The Sensational Alex Harvey Band were as equally loved as Alex himself and together they were the biggest-grossing UK live act of the mid 70s; they released eight critically-acclaimed albums in their five years together,and Without doubt they are the most influencial band to ever come out of Scotland they inspired many of the top names in popular entertainment over the last 30 years,cited By Robert Smith & The Cure, Nick Cave, Billy Connolly, Richard Oâ€™Brien,Cheap Trick,The Skids, Simple Minds, Fish,Def Leppard, John Lydon, The Cult, & AC/DC, Even Alice Cooper endorsed what a great band SAHB are.their pedigree has never been in doubt, never mind surpassed!!!

But... the SAHB story has never been an easy read,and its still weaving,twisting & turning even when you just want it to go straight ahead.
And after a sold out tour in 2007, 2008 was looking good,then came Zal Clemisonâ€™s shock retirement announcement, So once again S.A.H.B have to face the impossible task of decideing whether or not to carry on. Whatever the outcome S.A.H.Bâ€™s legasy is safe,and one thing for sure, they have allways been true to themselves and the fans,
the legand of the SENSATIONAL ALEX HARVEY BAND just keeps refusung to die....

S.A.H.B are now considering the situation re the future of the band.
Decision details will be posted as soon as they become available.
The band debuted the first appearence of guitarist - Julian Hutson Saxby at the recent Nantwich show, where he was enthusiastically welcomed by fans into the fold.

CHRIS GLEN: is everyone’s idea of a true rock star. He’s larger than life in size and character, and behind his giant bass is a giant heart and passion for living. Chris is the life and soul of the party, providing dozens of entertaining asides to the serious business of making music. From near-fatal car crashes to flying off stage on a skateboard, this is the stuff we all really want to hear.

HUGH MCKENNA: was musically closest to Alex, and their creative partnership was at once rewarding and devastating. Hugh’s proud of his piano playing and songwriting, and referred to his parents’ background in music hall entertainment to help develop Alex’s vision of a genre-encompassing rock show. His own experiences of excess and over-indulgence led directly to hospitalisation - but fortunately he came out the other side.

TED MCKENNA: is Hugh’s cousin and began his musical career with Hugh. The business of creating noise with feeling is one he takes very seriously, to the extent of taking hours over perfecting the sound of each of his drums or losing the rag with bandmates. There’s still time for him to talk about some touchingly naive moments from his career - including the night he became convinced the band were going to have him shot.

MAX MAXWELL: Where to begin or end? A man faced with arguably the hardest job in music, replacing the late, great Alex Harvey, WITHOUT trying to be him. With a similar background, and a deep routed love of Alex and SAHB that could only ever come from being first and foremost a true fan, Max proves that he is more than capable of doing the job of fronting one of the most dynamic acts in rock.
