"GET ON IT"

About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V3.6 !
Mainline are a Leeds-based five piece indie rock and roll band and with a slice of blues and just a touch of punk and garage, they have created their own sound. The machine that is Mainline has been operating since 1996. There have been a few line up changes along the way. The only two existing members from the original line up are drummer Neil Holdsworth and vocalist Rob Wheelhouse. In 1998 the infectious guitar of Russ Harrison was introduced to the band (formerly of Snatch, a popular Leeds band of the time). Also joining the band at this point was Gary Wilson, keyboards (formerly of the well known Bridewell Taxis). In 1999 when Gary was otherwise detained, a young Ste Butler was drafted in. This is when the infamous weaving guitar partnership of Harrison and Butler was born. The last piece of the jigsaw was put in place in 2003 when Mainline were joined by the powerful bass of Mark Brown. Mainline have done an impressive amount of gigs in the north of England stirring a lot of interest along the way and have a strong following. They are also no strangers to the studio and have done various recordings in and around Leeds.
