About Me

The city that produced the Kaiser Chiefs and Pigeon Detectives in recent years has witnessed the emergence of yet another promising outfit. Formed in August 2008, the catchy indie rock sound of Gazelles has seen audiences in both Leeds and Manchester crying out for more. The four well-groomed lads that make up Gazelles are Rich Parker (drums), Adam Haller (bass), Andy Summers (lead guitar) and Tim Pallister (vocals.) They look how they sound, clean and crisp but with that crucial edge that the successful band needs to set them apart from the rest.Drawing their influences from Kings Of Leon and Pixies amongst other modern day indie bands, Gazelles have written some catchy songs that are both easy to listen to and easy to remember. The two examples that feature on their myspace page (www.myspace.com/gazellesuk) are Wrong Line and Little Mystery. Both sum up what Gazelles are and what they want to be.Already well supported by a loyal fan base from the Horsforth suburb of Leeds where three of the four members grew up and learned their respective musical trades, Gazelles have appeared regularly in their own city and recently journeyed across the Pennines to the home of indie, Manchester, where they were very well received by the crowd at the Night and Day Café.To quote their own lyrics, Gazelles could be well on the road to being “another piece of history” with songs that have so many hooks; I promise you’ll be singing them in your head after the first listen and going by the crowds reaction after their first gigs, Gazelles are running!
