About Me

Colorforms is a trio from Lakewood, OH which incorporates analog and digital synths, guitars, bass, drums, woodwinds, samplers, many layers of delay, choral vocals, and various effects/treatments. The rhythmic pulses often generally come from the intuitive interaction of the musicians, rather than from actual drums, which makes the live experience feel more like the soundtrack to a meditation than a rock concert.
Their sound combines the melodic sensibilities of Spacemen 3, early Tangerine Dream & Pink Floyd, the production aesthetic of The KLF's hallmark ambient album "Chill Out", and the sequential experimentation of Philip Glass.
