About Me

Hailing from Nottinghamshire, Starscreen are a blend of uplifting energetic rock with a melodic undertone. Being friends from a young age Lead Guitarist Neal Davis and Lead Singer Daz McNevin met Bass player Scott Price through a friend at college and formed Starscreen. Having lost their Drummer in 2005 they spent time looking for the right replacement and in the summer of 2005 met drummer John Kidger through an advertisement and formed Starscreen Mark2. The band began to develop their own sound taking influence from bands such as Led Zeppelin, U2, Pearl Jam, The Doors and Roxy Music. Starscreen always try to be different, every song they write has its own personality, a song has to excite and inspire people. The band has its own unique style, tending not to go for the straight ahead power chord rock, the guitar lines are varied, the rhythm section supply the groove, the lyrics are insightful and the melodies are catchy and filled with memorable hooks. All four members play an equal part in the band and this adds to the unity of the band
